Counseling Services

  • In individual counseling sessions, I believe that you are the expert in your own story. I approach our work together as a collaborative partnership, where your goals and strengths guide the process. I draw from evidence-based approaches including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Trauma-informed care, tailoring techniques to fit your unique needs so that we can work together toward your goals and help you reach your fullest potential.

  • In couples counseling, I use a comprehensive approach combining the Prepare-Enrich Assessment, the Gottman Method, and Hope-Focused techniques. This is all designed to strengthen communication, build connection, and help couples navigate challenges together.

  • In family counseling, I draw on Family Systems Theory, focusing on how family members are deeply interconnected. I work especially with families experiencing dysfunction, enmeshment, and/or communication breakdowns, helping them build healthier dynamics and stronger connections.

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare/Optum. Additionally, my billing team is happy to assist you with accessing out-of-network benefits. I also accept private pay clients and you can use health savings or flexible spending accounts to help pay for sessions.

About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. I am also certified to administer Prepare-Enrich assessments, a specific tool for couples counseling. I have experience working with a variety of issues across multiple contexts.
